Jazz Love: Cole Porter

Myrna, Sidecar, and I went to see Woody Allen's new film, Midnight in Paris, and were quite enchanted.  I am a fan of Owen Wilson, but this role is actually perfect for him--a little more sober than his usual roles, and full of whimsy. In fact, I think the casting is brilliant: Owen Wilson is a cheerful version of Woody Allen.  Go check it out!

It also had me whistling Cole Porter tunes all week. Porter was, of course, the true master songwriter: both a brilliant lyricist and composer (his romantic songs are as enchanting as his witty ones are funny) and his tunes are quite hummable.  So here are a few for your enjoyment.
