St. Isidore of Seville: Patron of the Internets

Today is the feast of St. Isidore of Seville, Doctor and Bishop, and patron of the Internet.  It's true.  He wrote and encyclopedia and is now the patron of the internet. Anthony Esolen wrote described him as a "theologian and collector of oddments of knowledge and folklore, whose Sentences and Etymologies enjoyed wide repute in the Middle Ages." Sounds like my kind of guy; I really should pray this every time I click on that bright orange fox on my task-bar. (Icon.)

Almighty and eternal God,
who created us in Thy image
and bade us to seek after all that is good, true and beautiful,
especially in the divine person of Thy Only-begotten Son, our Lord Jesus Christ,
grant, we beseech Thee,
that, through the intercession of Saint Isidore, Bishop and Doctor,
during our journeys through the internet
we will direct our hands and eyes only to that which is pleasing to Thee
and treat with charity and patience all those souls whom we encounter.
Through Christ our Lord. Amen.
