Jazz Love #9: Bli-Blip by Duke Ellington

I just adore this song.  The recording I have is of Diana Reeves with Wynton Marsallis (on an awesome tribute CD to Duke Ellington), and it's wonderful.  The song in the video is contemporary with the original compositon, and well performed--but I also find is a fascinating time capsule.  I did not know this, but apparently, black performers of that time still used vaudville techniques, with over accentuated facial expressions (copying very heavily from Louis Armstrong) and broard humor.
